Cornish Cross Broiler Hatching Eggs

IMPORTANT ORDERING INFORMATION: Eggs are collected fresh on Mondays from our breeding flock and shipped Tuesdays by USPS Priority Mail or FedEx. Hatching Eggs are labeled with breed code to help with ID during incubation. Eggs can be shipped year-round, but please use your own discretion when ordering during extreme weather. We guarantee that your eggs will arrive unbroken, but will not guarantee your hatching success because of the many variables with shipping, incubating, and hatching. Breakage must be reported upon arrival.

Interested in hatching your very own fast-growing meat birds? Our White Broiler Hatching Eggs, also known as Cornish X, Cornish Cross, or Cornish Rock Cross are an excellent choice. White Broilers are ready to process as early as 6-9 short weeks. Meyer Hatchery’s first-generation stock is selected for traits such as fast feathering, steady growth, optimal feed conversion ratios, and broad breasts. Our Cornish Cross derives from the Ross 308 and Cobb 550 strains. These strains have yellow legs, skin, and feathers. Cobb 550 strains may have black flecks.

The Cornish Cross are a special hybrid that have been fine-tuned over the years for their fast growth rates for meat production. With this, they should not be kept beyond their processing age of 6-9 weeks. Since they are a hybrid you will not be able to breed a female and male to hatch out more Cornish Cross.
