Jumbo Pekin hatching eggs are a great way to get started with incubating duck eggs. They’re a widely popular breed, meeting all of your egg, meat, or market exhibition needs. These fast-growing birds, with high egg production, are a homesteading staple. Females can be part of your meat harvest, or they can be grown out for egg production at 26-28 weeks of age, while the males can go into your breeding or meat production program. Females will lay up to 140-175 eggs per year. Jumbo Pekin will be ready for harvest in 18-20 weeks, with males weighing in at 11-13 pounds and females weighing 10-11 pounds. Eggs will be white to light bluish-white in color.
