Mallard Day Old Ducklings

IMPORTANT ORDERING DETAILS: Waterfowl have a minimum of 3 and you are able to mix and match among ducks and goose breeds to meet this minimum. Waterfowl will ship on Tuesday or Wednesday, USPS priority mail, and arrive 1-3 days later. Waterfowl are not able to be picked up as they are sent from our hatching partner.

These slim ducks are the same as the wild birds that appear in ponds and streams. True to their habit as migratory birds, these birds will fly away for the winter, but will often return to the same location in the spring. Mallards are the ancestor to most of the domesticated ducks known today. They are self-reliant, good foragers, and good mothers. They are also great entertainment and organic insect control and will lay white to bluish-green eggs.

All Mallard Ducklings hatched domestically are required to be identified per US Fish and Wildlife regulations. Our ducklings will have a back toe removed upon hatch to identify them as domestically hatched.
