Mottled Frizzle (FS) Cochin Bantam Day Old Chicks

The Frizzle Mottled Cochin Bantam has the same wonderful personality as the other Cochins but with the bonus possibility of showing the frizzle feathers. Frizzle Mottled Cochins are black with white-tipped feathers, giving them a mottled appearance. Cochins have a single comb, with feathered legs and feet, so care should be taken during snowy and icy conditions to prevent frostbite. The Cochins are also great foragers and will go broody if you need a good mother in your flock. The Frizzle Mottled Cochin bantams lay 2-3 small light brown to creamy colored eggs per week.
The frizzle feathering does not show in the baby chicks; this trait does not breed true, so some of these chicks may grow up to have smooth feathers while others present frizzle feathers. You can read more about Frizzle Presentation in Poultry here.
