So you’d like to try quail but aren't ready to start at the hatching egg stage? …or maybe you are tight on space but still want fresh eggs? We’ve got the perfect fit for you! Started Quail, you will receive 8 female and 2 male feather sexable Coturnix Quail. Each quail will be 3 weeks old and ready for your homestead’s setup.

This assortment can include a wide color variety, with each being able to be sexed by color feather at 3 weeks old. In general, within the group, males will have darker heads and chests than females of the same variety.

The following varieties can be a part of your Started Quail assortment: Pearl, Pansy Fee, Sparkly, Jumbo White Wind, Jumbo Wild, Jumbo Egyptian, Golden Manchurian, Italian Gold, Egyptian Fee, and Autumn Amber.

The size of the full-grown birds will range from 8 to 13 ounces. Egg size may range from about 12-16 grams. Females will begin producing eggs when mature, at approximately 10 weeks of age.
