White Leghorn Hatching Eggs

IMPORTANT ORDERING INFORMATION: Eggs are collected fresh on Mondays from our breeding flock and shipped Tuesdays by USPS Priority Mail or FedEx. Hatching Eggs are labeled with breed code to help with ID during incubation. Eggs can be shipped year-round, but please use your own discretion when ordering during extreme weather. We guarantee that your eggs will arrive unbroken, but will not guarantee your hatching success because of the many variables with shipping, incubating, and hatching. Breakage must be reported upon arrival.

White Leghorn hens are a top producer of large white eggs laying 5+ weekly and often laying over 300 annually. The breed came to the United States in 1835 but originated in Italy. Their prolific egg production makes them one of the most popular breeds of laying chickens in the world! They do not consume much feed making them economical to keep and they mature early, often being ready to lay by 20 weeks old. Neither the egg color nor proficiency of laying will decrease the nutritional quality of the eggs produced.

When fully grown the White Leghorn will have all white feathers, yellow skin and legs, and a single red comb. Hens will weigh about 41/2 pounds and roosters about 6 pounds.

Purchase and incubate these hatching eggs and you could be just 3 short weeks from having this wonderful breed on your farm or homestead. Please note hatching eggs are sold individually and not by the dozen. Please select the quantity of eggs desired when adding to your cart.
